European Cheerleading Championships 2018 takes place in the Netherlands – Den Bosch is venue on 30th of June and 1st of July

Den Bosch – The European Cheerleading Championship of the ECA (European Cheerleading Association) takes place from 30th of June till 1st of July 2018 in Den Bosch, the Netherlands.

The continental championships of the best teams from all over Europe will take place in the Maaspoort Arena, where the basketball players of the domestic club “New Heroes Den Bosch” compete. In the modern arena, which offers space for 2,450 spectators, new heroines and heroes can also be born in the cheerleading area.

“We are very excited to host the ECC in the Netherlands. The Maaspoort arena is a fantastic venue and I know the athletes will love competing there. Den Bosch is a lovely city with the warmth and hospitality that the province of Brabant is famous for,” promises John Mahnen, board member AFBN Cheerleading.

Ramona Marshall, acting president of the ECA, also greatly welcomes the decision to host the title fights in Den Bosch and is looking forward to high-class competitive sport: “The nations from Europe were very successful at the World Championships. I am sure that at the European Championships we will see top sports with inspiring choreographies and spectacular stunts. To award the European Championship to Den Bosch is a very good choice. There, attendees will find a more than worthy setting to get their best performance.”
